“Water Lilies”

The mural was designed to create a view or a window that aided in brightening up the space it lives in. Breaking up the many different floral elements with those of the background, keeps the viewer’s eye guessing where the foreground, mid ground, and background are. The reflections of the assortment of water lilies are painted in a muted tone to aid in the perception of water. The color palette was chosen to accentuate the tones of the room, and bring a warmth and calming feeling in an otherwise dark basement environment.
