“The Mustard Seed”

The design for this mural was directly inspired by the Client’s Legacy Financial’s main slogan “Find comfort among our branches”', which is a reference to the mustard seed parable. Within the mustard seed parable, it talks of the smallest seed becoming the largest tree, so that the birds of the sky can lodge in its branches. I included fruit on the tree to represent the fruits of ones labor, and a financial firm’s duty to help grow that fruit for its clients. The colors of the composition were taken from the firm’s color palette. Due to the unique nature of where this mural would be located, I wanted to make sure it worked well with the natural frame the brick made. I used the aged brick to act as the earth that the roots are growing into.
