“GE Military Heritage Mural”

In collaboration with Artworks of Cincinnati, Artswave of Cincinnati, and GE Aviation. I was assisted with painting this mural by a very talented artist, Marin Emanuel.

GE Aviation was interested in creating a mural celebrating their long history with the US Military. The key engines they designed, and the important aircraft they were used in, spanning from the 1940’s to present day, and into the future.

I wanted to represent these key engines and planes in a non-traditional timeline, aesthetically. A timeline tends to be very flat and direct. I wanted to represent the power, energy, and movement these engines and planes deliver. Throughout the composition, planes break the border, and the background lines and shapes help to accentuate this sense of movement and energy in the mural.

This project was very important to me personally, because my grandfather worked at GE Aviation in Evendale for almost 40 years. If he was still here, I know he would be so proud.
